Convene Hospitality Group (CHG) has announced the launch of The Mallory, a new, independently branded special events venue located within the landmark Terminal Warehouse in New York City’s West Chelsea.
This marks the next phase in CHG’s mission to serve the full spectrum of the events industry — expanding beyond meetings and conferences to include galas, weddings, award ceremonies, and large-scale social events.
Spanning over 50,000 square feet across three floors, The Mallory will feature refined architectural details such as exposed brick, arched windows, boxcar doors, and timber beams. In addition to hosting private and corporate events, it will also function as a bespoke conferencing centre and lounge for Terminal Warehouse tenants, scheduled to open in Q2 2026.
“The Mallory at Terminal Warehouse was born out of the opportunity to more adeptly serve the experiential events industry in New York – and do it better than anyone else in the market,” said Ryan Simonetti, President and CEO of CHG. “Large-scale social, cultural, and experiential events are the lifeforce of the city. Having spent the last 16 years honing the operational prowess to run complex hospitality-led venues, we’re elevating our offering and expanding our brand set to provide a premier destination to bring bespoke experiences to life.”
According to CHG, the events industry has seen a 165% increase in demand from planners seeking unique, experience-driven venues over the past two years. The Mallory’s independent model enables CHG to meet this growing demand while offering exclusive event opportunities to tenants of Terminal Warehouse.
Located in the northwest corner of the historic building and accessed via its iconic tunnel, The Mallory will feature spaces for up to 550 guests, including:
A reception lounge with a 25-foot bar
A grand event hall with 19-foot ceilings
VIP green room suites and gallery space with movable walls
A commercial-grade catering kitchen
Production rigging, motorised truss, and integrated AV technology including theatrical lighting, flexible 4K projection, and a custom-designed speaker system
The venue’s name pays tribute to George Mallory, the original architect of the 1890s Terminal Warehouse building.
“We are pleased to partner with CHG on a conference, meeting, and events venue that will be every bit as iconic as the building itself,” said Ted Koltis, Executive Vice President and Head of Real Estate at Columbia Property Trust.
CHG is the largest single provider of non-hotel meeting and event venues across the US and UK, with a growing footprint of flexible office space. With the addition of The Mallory, the company’s portfolio now includes 39 locations across nine cities.
