Planning a Sales Kick-Off in Europe for 2027?
There has rarely been more choice.
Across Europe, new hotels have opened with proper meeting infrastructure, older landmark properties have been completely reinvented and companies are increasingly moving away from traditional conference hotels in favour of places that offer more of an experience.
For an SKO, that matters.
You still need the basics: a strong plenary room, breakout space, bedrooms, AV, good food and easy flight connections.
But the best Sales Kick-Off hotels now offer something else too.
They give your team somewhere they are actually excited to travel to.
From a newly reopened landmark hotel in Prague to a resort in the Algarve and lifestyle hotels in Vienna and Brussels, here are 12 of the best new and standout SKO hotels in Europe to consider for 2027.

Best for: Large international Sales Kick-Offs
Fairmont Golden Prague is one of the most interesting additions to the European corporate events market.
The former InterContinental Prague underwent a major transformation before reopening as Fairmont Golden Prague, giving planners a new luxury option right in the centre of the city.
For SKOs, the biggest attraction is the meeting space.
The hotel has more than 1,200 sq m of meeting and event space, while its 573 sq m Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 530 delegates theatre-style.
That gives companies enough scale for a significant sales conference while still having the benefits of a proper five-star city hotel.
Prague itself also works extremely well for international teams. There are direct flights from major European cities, a huge choice of restaurants and bars, and the city offers considerably more character for evening events than many traditional conference destinations.
For companies looking at a 200–500-person European SKO in 2027, this should be high on the list.
Best for: Premium SKOs and senior sales teams
Rosewood Amsterdam opened in 2025 in Amsterdam’s former Palace of Justice.
Rather than feeling like another modern corporate hotel, the property retains much of the character of the historic building while bringing in the level of AV, event planning and technology required for modern business events.
Corporate spaces include a ballroom, salons, courtyard, Events Studio and the Grand Library — the former courtroom — with built-in AV and dedicated event support.
That makes it particularly interesting for smaller, higher-end SKOs where the setting is part of the experience.
Amsterdam remains one of Europe’s easiest destinations for bringing international teams together, but Rosewood gives planners an alternative to the city’s more traditional conference hotels.
Best for: Tech, creative and lifestyle-led Sales Kick-Offs
The Hoxton Vienna is one of the most interesting examples of a lifestyle hotel that actually works for corporate events.
Alongside its 196 bedrooms, the hotel has The Auditorium, The Hoxton’s first dedicated live events venue.
The Auditorium can host 162 theatre-style or around 225 standing and includes a built-in screen, sound system, bars, balcony and foyer.
Smaller sessions can be hosted in The Apartment, while the rooftop Cayo Coco and underground Salon Paradise create easy options for taking the SKO from daytime presentations into evening drinks.
For businesses that want to avoid the feel of a conventional conference hotel, this is a very strong option.
Best for: European sales teams and creative companies
Brussels makes a huge amount of sense geographically for European SKOs, but historically some companies have struggled to find hotels with enough personality.
The Standard Brussels changes that.
The hotel has 180 rooms and seven meeting rooms, with configurations capable of accommodating up to 300 guests theatre-style and 350 standing.
The Fourth Floor provides 420 sq m of modular event space with built-in AV, while Lila29 offers a rooftop restaurant and bar high above the city. The Greenhouse can also be privately hired for events.
For a European team travelling in from London, Paris, Amsterdam, Germany and beyond, Brussels is also extremely practical.
Best for: Combining an SKO with an incentive
Not every Sales Kick-Off needs to take place in a city.
For companies wanting the event to feel as much like a reward as a meeting, Viceroy at Ombria Algarve is a really interesting option.
The property offers indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, with its largest event area around 306 sq m, and is approximately 30 minutes from Faro Airport.
The bigger advantage, however, is everything surrounding the meeting.
Golf, wellness, outdoor experiences and more than 300 days of sunshine a year give planners the ability to build team activities directly into the programme.
This would work particularly well for a 50–180-person sales team where culture, team building and motivation are a big part of the brief.
Best for: International teams that prioritise easy travel
Frankfurt isn’t always the first destination people mention when planning an exciting SKO.
Operationally, though, it can be extremely strong.
Kimpton Main Frankfurt gives planners a newer, more design-led option in a city with one of Europe’s biggest international airports.
Its Mainhattan event space accommodates up to 100 guests, while The Studio can accommodate around 90. There is also access to larger-scale event facilities at SPARK opposite the hotel.
For international teams flying in for two concentrated days of meetings, Frankfurt can make the logistics considerably easier.
Best for: Premium mid-sized SKOs
Vienna is one of the European destinations we expect to see more companies considering for 2027.
Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna combines historic architecture with serious meeting facilities.
The hotel offers 13 event rooms, with its Theophil Ballroom accommodating up to 265 guests theatre-style or cocktail-style, alongside smaller breakout and boardroom spaces.
It is particularly suitable for companies that need proper conference infrastructure but don’t want the event to feel like it is taking place in a purpose-built convention centre.
Best for: Mid-sized international SKOs
Rome already gives planners an incredible amount to work with outside the meeting room.
Hilton Rome EUR La Lama adds the practical side.
The hotel has 439 bedrooms, seven meeting rooms and 844 sq m of total event space, with capacity for events of up to 240 guests.
That combination is particularly useful for residential SKOs because a substantial number of attendees can stay and meet under the same roof.
For companies that need both bedroom scale and breakout flexibility, it is one of the more practical recent additions to Rome.
Best for: Smaller, high-energy Sales Kick-Offs
W Prague gives planners a very different option from Fairmont Golden Prague.
Rather than targeting huge conferences, W Prague suits smaller sales teams where atmosphere and social interaction are more important.
The hotel offers seven event rooms and 424 sq m of event space, with its largest formal room accommodating around 60 guests.
For a 30–60-person sales team, particularly in tech, media or creative industries, this could work extremely well.
Best for: Larger Nordic and European SKOs
Scandic Spectrum is one of the stronger newer large-scale options in Copenhagen.
Its conference offering ranges from smaller meeting rooms to a flexible ground-floor event space, with the hotel able to accommodate conferences and events of up to around 500 people.
The property is also centrally located, so groups aren’t isolated from Copenhagen once the daytime sessions finish.
Copenhagen itself is compact, easy to navigate and has a great restaurant and bar scene, which makes building an evening programme relatively straightforward.
Best for: Leadership and premium corporate groups
Corinthia Brussels is another major recent addition to the Brussels hotel market.
The historic former Grand Hotel Astoria has been extensively restored, with the hotel’s mezzanine floor now providing around 450 sq m of flexible meeting space for up to 150 guests.
There are also boardrooms, private dining rooms and heritage spaces for dinners or more senior gatherings.
This would suit a smaller senior sales team or leadership-heavy SKO where service and setting are priorities.
Best for: Incentive-led SKOs and leadership teams
If the aim is to create an SKO that feels genuinely different, Crete should be part of the conversation.
JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa offers dedicated meeting rooms, high-speed connectivity and organised team-building activities alongside the resort’s spa, dining and outdoor experiences.
It is less suited to a 500-person traditional sales conference and much more interesting for smaller teams where the business agenda is mixed with reward, culture and team building.
For the right group, this is exactly the sort of property that can make an SKO feel less like compulsory company travel and more like an event people genuinely want to attend.
There isn’t one best destination for every Sales Kick-Off.
The right choice depends on where your attendees are travelling from, your group size, your budget and what you want the SKO to achieve.
For large European SKOs, we would look closely at Prague, Copenhagen, Vienna and Brussels.
For premium or leadership-led SKOs, Amsterdam and Vienna offer some excellent newer hotels.
For SKOs with a strong incentive element, the Algarve, Crete and other Mediterranean destinations become much more interesting.
And if flight connectivity is the priority, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Brussels remain very practical choices.
Large SKO: Prague or Copenhagen
Tech/creative SKO: Vienna or Brussels
Luxury SKO: Amsterdam or Vienna
Incentive-style SKO: Algarve or Crete
Easy international access: Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Brussels
Smaller high-energy SKO: Prague
Leadership meeting: Amsterdam, Vienna or Brussels
A five-star hotel isn’t automatically a good Sales Kick-Off venue.
Before shortlisting hotels, we normally look at the entire event programme.
Your main meeting room needs to comfortably accommodate the entire team with space for staging, production, screens and AV.
A ballroom advertised for 300 guests may not necessarily work for 300 once a large stage and production setup are added.
This is one of the most important details to check early.
Sales Kick-Offs often move between all-company sessions, regional teams, workshops, training and leadership meetings.
Having enough breakout rooms can immediately rule hotels in or out.
Ideally, most or all attendees should stay in the same hotel.
Moving delegates between several properties adds transport costs, administration and complexity.
For a major SKO, Wi-Fi and a projector are not enough.
Consider staging, LED screens, microphones, lighting, sound, streaming, branding and rehearsal access.
A brilliant hotel can become a bad option if 300 people need complicated transfers to reach it.
Look at direct flights, airport transfer times and where attendees are travelling from.
An SKO doesn’t finish when the presentations stop.
Restaurants, rooftop spaces, private dining rooms, bars and off-site venues can have a huge impact on the overall experience.
If you’re asking employees to travel internationally, the destination matters.
One of the biggest trends we’re seeing is companies wanting their annual sales meeting to feel like something worth travelling for rather than simply relocating the office for three days.
For a large European SKO, the earlier the better.
January and February are particularly popular months for Sales Kick-Offs, and the challenge isn’t normally finding a hotel with bedrooms.
It is finding a hotel with:
For groups of 200+ people, we would ideally begin looking 9–12 months ahead.
For very large groups or events requiring a significant number of breakout spaces, starting even earlier can give you substantially more choice.
There isn’t one standard cost because SKO budgets can vary dramatically.
The biggest factors are:
A three-day SKO in a five-star resort will naturally look very different from a two-day sales meeting in a city conference hotel.
This is also why it is worth comparing multiple destinations rather than simply requesting quotes from hotels in one city.
Sometimes changing destination can improve both the event experience and overall budget.
SKO stands for Sales Kick-Off. It is normally an annual company event bringing sales teams and leadership together to review performance, introduce strategy, provide training, launch products and build motivation for the year ahead.
Popular European SKO destinations include Prague, Vienna, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Brussels, Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona. Resort destinations such as the Algarve and Greek islands can also work well when an incentive or team-building element is important.
For larger groups, hotels with substantial plenary and breakout capacity are essential. Fairmont Golden Prague can accommodate up to 530 theatre-style, while Scandic Spectrum Copenhagen can host events of around 500 attendees.
Yes. MD Venue Finding sources Sales Kick-Off hotels and venues across the UK, Europe, North America and further afield, including accommodation, meeting space, dinners and associated event requirements.
For larger events, ideally start 9–12 months ahead, particularly if you are planning a January or February SKO or require significant bedroom inventory and multiple breakout rooms.
Absolutely. Resorts can work particularly well when companies want to combine strategy sessions with team building, recognition or an incentive element. Properties such as Viceroy at Ombria Algarve and JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa are good examples.
Choosing the city is only the beginning.
